From Promises to Providence: (Genesis 25-50)
A Study of God’s Providence in the Lives of Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28). The promises of God to Abraham were passed down to his heirs, but Isaac and Jacob died before any of them were fulfilled (Hebrews 11:13). Even so, they saw the providence of God paving the way for every promise to be delivered. From Promises to Providence follows the narrative of Genesis from Isaac to Joseph and traces the thread of God’s providence in multiplying Jacob’s family and bringing them safely to Egypt. These historical events demonstrate that God does indeed cause all things to work together for good for those who love Him.
From Promises to Providence is the third book of this series focusing on Genesis. This book is useful as an aid for both group and individual Bible studies. The other books in this series are: Before Abraham Was (Genesis 1-11 & Job) and Abraham, Our Father in the Faith (Genesis 12-25).
