Sweeter Than Honey: Genesis 26-50
In the book of Genesis, God addresses the problem of sin through a covenant with Abraham. God makes promises to Abraham that extend to his descendants and ultimately to the Messiah. The second half of the book continues the line of Abraham with sections devoted to Jacob and Joseph. As the gospel plays out on a macro level with the promises to Abraham, both Jacob and Joseph experience personal reversals that bring them closer to God. Jacob moves from deception and human ingenuity to trust in God, and Joseph climbs out of the pit, slavery, and prison to a greater understanding of God’s purpose in his life. This workbook examines Genesis 25-50 and the continuing story of the patriarchs. Sweeter than Honey Studies examine the biblical text to highlight its sweetness and encourage discipleship in Christ.
