The Themes of Revelation
I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book (Revelation 22:18-19).
The Book of Revelation can be a real challenge for Bible students. This study book is presented as a relatively easy way of understanding Revelation by focusing on its themes. These themes can be recognized by anyone who simply reads Revelation, and they do not require difficult speculations or interpretations of the book’s figures and signs. This thematic approach is not a verse-by-verse study, but it is complete and does not add to nor take away from any part of the book. It is useful to anyone who wants a basic and satisfying understanding of the “Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants” (Revelation 1:1).
