The New Me
Putting Off The Old Self And Putting On ...
Jr. High Workbook
This series of lessons is drawn directly from Paul's words in Ephesians 4:20-24:
But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
The goal of this study is to describe the new man one becomes in Christ. Both the putting off and the putting on are discussed. The putting discusses negative characteristics to be removed from one's life. The putting on discusses the positive qualities that need to be put on. Students will learn about these qualities, how to implement them in their lives, and how they are relevant to their lives.
